A swordsman with a kind heart, Lloyd fights for what he believes in. Though not the sharpest tool in the shed, he has enough common sense and intuition to make up for his lack of book smarts. A dwarf named Dirk raised him after finding him alone with his pet Noishe, and therefore the dwarven vows have become an important part of his thinking. Lloyd is always willing to do whatever he can for people, especially for those that he cares about. He may not always make the right choices or say the right things, but he quickly learns that he must take responsibility for his own actions.

As Sylvarant’s Chosen of Mana, Colette carries the responsibility of regenerating the world. She has a large heart and will do anything to help anyone in need, even if it means putting herself in danger. Colette defines the meaning of sacrifice, as she is willing to give up her life not only to bring prosperity to the world, but also to protect her friends. Colette has a tendency to be pretty clumsy, as she is usually tripping over things, but her actions generally bring the party good luck. She truly believes in the Goddess Martel and has a strong sense of justice. Though her friends try to look out for her, Colette is a strong girl who can take care of herself and will do so when needed.
